Pilgrim to Piper
A soldier, parachutist, and piper, Iain Townsley served in the British Army for 25 years.
As we approach ANZAC Day, we invite you to join us to hear first-hand from Iain about his many experiences.
“From Pilgrim to Piper” is the journey of Iain Townsley. From his military career in the SAS to his personal journey to reclaim his Scottish heritage and becoming a piper. Today Iain, now an Australian resident, performs as a piper at many local military ceremonies.
Iain is a proud piper and will be bringing his pipes along. As we approach ANZAC Day, we invite you to join us at Croydon Library to hear first-hand from Iain about his many experiences and hear the hauntingly beautiful sound of bagpipes.
“From pilgrim to piper” books will be available for sale on the day.
