Ned Kelly: Hero or Villain?

His name has become synonymous with courage, the phrase “game as Ned Kelly” having become part of the Australian lexicon. Regardless of your viewpoint the Kelly legend is enshrined in Australian folklore. Join us to hear about some whose lives became linked with Ned’s - the Ned Kelly Connections

This event will take you on a tour of the beautiful Boroondara (Kew) Cemetery.

Boroondara is an Aboriginal word meaning ‘a place of shade’. This aptly describes the beautiful gardens in the Boroondara Cemetery. Originally covered in red gums and wattles, the cemetery was designed to have the park-like setting of a Victorian garden cemetery.

What better surroundings to hear about some quite significant individuals who passed through Ned Kelly’s life. From his first brush with the law to the witnesses at his execution – we have a plethora of Ned’s connections with a broad cross-section of the community.

This is one walk you will not want to miss!
