Mt Eliza Ranelagh Estate Walk

A guided walk through parts of the Walter Burley Griffin designed Ranelagh Estate in Mt Eliza to learn about the history and heritage values of the estate, including an opportunity to visit the Ranelagh Club House at conclusion.

The Mornington Peninsula Branch of the National Trust offers a rare opportunity for a guided tour, at a leisurely pace with a knowledgeable guide, through some of Mt Eliza’s prestigious State-heritage-listed garden estate – designed c.1924 by renowned architect Walter Burley Griffin. The guided tour will include a first-hand commentary of the history, heritage dwellings and various architectural styles developed over the years throughout the stunning curvilinear streetscape of the estate.

Upon finishing the walk, coffee or glass of wine are available at own cost in the Ranelagh Club House overlooking Port Phillip, with a short presentation by Victoria Grounds, author of ‘Ranelagh a Special Place’ – an in-depth examination of the concept and development of the Ranelagh Estate (copies available for cash purchase).
