PAST EVENT

Igor and the Fire Station Balcony

During the Heritage Festival approach the old Perth Central Fire Station with caution and remember to look up! Especially, if you have wandered into the "Igor Drop Zone" - you might get a heritage-approved fright! You have been warned!

Join us on the balcony of the heritage-listed Perth Central Fire Station for a rare glimpse of where the firefighters relaxed, often slept and got up to some prankster antics over 100 years ago!

Making a guest balcony appearance will be Igor the Spider who would infamously startle many an innocent passer-by on the footpath below. Kids, and the young at heart, can launch Igor into the drop zone below and then make your very own Igor to take home!

Then explore the history of the fire station and there is an opportunity to dress-up as an emergency worker and sit in the drivers seat of a real fire truck! Extend your visit with a stroll through the historic Murray Street East neighbourhood with our new family friendly heritage trail.
