Heritage and Connections, Workshop for Tour Guides

Australia has a rich natural and cultural heritage that underpins a sense of place and national identity. Our heritage includes stories, traditions, events and experiences inherited from the past and is comprised of natural, historic and Indigenous places and people.

As tour guides and tour leaders our role is to showcase Australia’s heritage. Through continually developing our knowledge of Australia’s heritage means that we not only describe, but to provide meaning and understanding for our tour groups.

Join Institute of Australian Tour Guides annual professional development Workshop to develop our understanding of heritage and connections.

Speakers topics range from
– James Barnet: The Colonial Architect
– Heritage Interpretation
– Unknown Women Pioneers
– Australia’s Expansive Sky Scape
– Connection to Country
– Peopling Australia Migration
