Georges River Historical River Cruise

Embark on a scenic cruise along the Georges River and discover its unique history with Professor Heather Goodall.

You’ll learn more about Aboriginal connections to the river and environmental activism efforts whilst enjoying a sit-down meal.

Sailing onboard the Bass and Flinders, you will enjoy a 3-hour cruise along the Georges River, from Sans Souci to Salt Pan Creek and back again, with a delicious buffet lunch.

While taking in the beautiful scenery along our route, you will learn more about the people and environment of the Georges River, as Professor Heather Goodall shares insights into the history of the river, from Aboriginal communities to environmental activism.

Parking is available onsite at the Sans Souci Park.

About Professor Heather Goodall:
Heather Goodall is an award-winning author and Professor Emerita of History, UTS, publishing on Indigenous histories and environmental history and on decolonisation. Author of Georges River Blues, Rivers and Resilience, Waters of Belonging and Waterborne.
