Come along and hear from other group members sharing their knowledge and skills about Family Research in a friendly and supportive environment while making use of the experience of researchers from the Altona Laverton Historical Society.

The historic Altona Homestead is a great place to sit and chat about everything Family Research. Come along and hear from other group members sharing their knowledge, experience and skills covering all topics about Family Research. Whether it’s about where to start, how to find documents and records, how to interpret these documents, how to store what you find or how you might write up your family history, we have all started in the same place.

No question is too big nor too small and the environment and our group of enthusiasts is very friendly and very social. So why not join us over a cup of tea or coffee and utilise the knowledge of a very experienced group. The Altona Homestead is located overlooking the tranquil Logan Reserve in close proximity to the Altona foreshore, the homestead is a unique and treasured part of Altona’s heritage.
