Enjoying Our Waterfront Exhibition

See how leisure time by the sea has changed, and sometimes stayed the same, over the many years that people have been Enjoying Our Waterfront: Since Forever

What comes to mind when you think of Koombana Bay? How did the old timber jetty feature in your life? Does Jetty Baths ignite any memories?

Bunbury’s waterfront, stretching from Jetty Road to the Port, has been important to people on this land for over 60,000 years. Over time, the area has been used in countless different ways, its uses for work and pleasure changing and evolving with the shoreline.

This exhibition showcases and celebrates the beautiful part of our city, timely because of the ongoing improvements taking place as part of the Transforming Bunbury’s Waterfront project. It was kindly sponsored by the South West Development Commission. Enjoying Our Waterfront: Since Forever features images and objects which bring the past to life, including the top entries submitted into our Photo Competition.

Come and see the Waterfront as it was and as it is now, and what this means to our community.
