English Records

Are you looking for information on your English ancestors? Not sure where to look, or have hit a brick wall? Join us for an informative look at English Records - what is available and where to find them.

Hundreds of thousands of people have immigrated to Australia from the shore of England since 1788, some voluntarily, others in chains.
No matter how, when or why your ancestors left England, they and their ancestors will have left a record of their lives in the old country.

Some of England’s records can be traced back through time to a period before the Norman invasion and the doomsday book. We will explore what records are available online from the civil registrations and parish registers to obscure maps and everything in between.
