Connecting today with our history

Visit historic Black Rock House in the city of bayside and explore the history of its inhabitants of yesteryear. 168 years ago the house was built as a family summer home. Visit and see for yourself how they lived in 1856.

Enjoy a visit and take a costumed guided tour of the house, cellar, tearoom, stables and servants quarters. Your guide will share stories of the house, who owned it, who lived there and some interesting stories of yesteryear.

Stay a while and enjoy a delicious Devonshire tea in Tamar’s Tearoom. Finish with a walk around the garden and sit under the magnificent Morton Bay Fig trees.
