Civic Triangle and Environs Heritage Walk

If you want to know more about the wonderful history of the Moonee Ponds Junction and surrounds, join an experienced and passionate local historian who will guide you through the history of our heritage buildings and talk about changes that have taken place.

Learn about your Moonee Ponds history through a Heritage Walk taking in the Civic Triangle and Environs.

This easy walk will take between 60-75 minutes and covers only a small part of an historically interesting area. The walk covers the history of the Moonee Ponds junction, inclusive of the Moonee Ponds Town Hall, St Thomas’s Church and vicarage, hotels, banks as well as the general commercial buildings that serviced the area now and in the past.

A detailed booklet of the history will be included in the tour cost.

There are numerous car parks close by as well as street parking availability. Convenient public transport via the tramway route 59 to the Moonee Ponds Junction. If travelling by train - use the Craigieburn trainline and exit at Moonee Ponds. It is a small walk down Puckle Street to the Moonee Ponds Clocktower at the junction.
