Chinese Heritage Books and Characters

This free event is going to display more than 50 items, also this is the first time the City of Ballarat has ever exhibited these collections to public.

Since the 1840s, Australian society has benefited greatly from Chinese immigrants from all over the world, and City of Ballarat is one of the most popular cities to Chinese immigrants. In a recent census, 5% of the Australian population identified as having Chinese ancestry. It’s important to introduce Chinese heritage and stories to Australian society to know about the treasures of Chinese culture. As a library, we would like to display interesting stories to the public, and create friendly bonds.
