Ballan Heritage and Connections
Come and see a display on the history and heritage of the old Ballan Shire.
The Ballan Shire Historical Society will be mounting a new display in the recently restored Ballan Old Courthouse covering the people, places and events of the Shire from proclamation in October 1864.
This display will be enhanced by the availability of the Society’s comprehensive collection and the presence of Members with a wide knowledge and connection to the history of the former Shire.
