A Walk in High Street Yackandandah

The heart of any small town is its main street. High Street Yackandandah is no exception. We invite you to our current exhibition, to see and hear the stories of our main street.

Yackandandah Museum is currently displaying A Walk in High Street. The banks and hotels, newsagents and chemists, butcher and baker, the echoes of blacksmith and carriage maker, are our legacy of Nineteenth Century trade and commerce. More than just places of business, they’re also home to countless stories and memories, both fond and foul.

Time your visit to Yackandandah to coincide with a guided walk in High Street, where our Nineteenth Century village is ever present.

Yackandandah Museum is open, 10:30am – 3:30pm, Wednesday to Sunday.
