A Trove of curiosities

Explore the curiosities of Trove at the Cobram Library. Whether its fantastic family facts or hilarious historical hearsay you’ll find it on Trove. Staff will share with you some of the gems of this online archive and share some tips with you for researching your family or historical events.

Trove is a collaboration between the National Library of Australia and hundreds of partner organisations around Australia. It is an online archive that offers access to collections from Australian libraries, universities, museums, galleries and archives. It is free and available online all day, every day.

This workshop offers a fun peek into just a handful of stories you can find using this amazing archive followed by a hands-on exploration of Trove. Staff will assist participants to search the archive with tips about key words, starting points and following connections. Participants are welcome to bring along their own device and connect to the free wi-fi at the library or use one of the devices at the library. Please let staff know if you are using your own device or a library one when booking.
