A Brief History of Manly Dam

Join Karen Smith from the Aboriginal Heritage Office as she explores how First Nations people lived their lives around the Manly Dam area and the broad changes the area underwent to support the local European people.

Manly Dam is famous on Sydney’s Northern Beaches for it’s family recreational activities, walking tracks and native wildlife, but what of it’s pre European use and connection to First Nations people? Proudly presented by the Aboriginal Heritage office, this presentation explores the history and changes to this unique area of the Northern Beaches.
