Newly formed Noongar Advisory Panel

Members of the newly formed Noongar Advisory Panel, Swan River Trust representatives, Anthropos Australis Pty Ltd and National Trust staff and consultants met for the first time at Royal Perth Yacht Club 26 Feb 2013 as part of planning to develop an Interpretation Plan for the Swan and Canning Riverpark.

Traditional Owners Ezra Jacobs-Smith and Elder Fred Pickett were among nine Noongar representatives at the inaugural Noongar Advisory Panel (NAP)meeting to inform the interpretation of the cultural values of the Swan and Canning Riverpark.
The National Trust of Australia is undertaking the project for the Swan River Trust over the coming year to provide a framework for educating locals and visitors about the heritage values of the rivers for long term social, environmental and economic benefit of the entire community.
