Education is our chance to share our passion for Australia’s unique natural, Indigenous and historic heritage with those who will follow us. It is an integral part of ensuring the continuity of our work.
Education
The Trust supports lifelong, voluntary learning and hopes that raising awareness, understanding and commitment to our Heritage can be encouraged and facilitated through our public education program of lectures, tours and resources as well as school programs.
Each State and Territory offers a range of educational programs ranging from curriculum based projects to public lectures. Please refer to your region to find out more about programs available. Also check the Events page for information about upcoming lectures, talk and tours.
Through a National Trusts Partnership Program grant provided by the Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities, an initial platform of National Trusts schools programs across Australia, linked to the Australian Curriculum, have been implemented for the benefit of teachers in schools wishing to avail themselves of these programs.
Further to the enhancement and continued development of schools programs, the National Trusts are currently also working on the development of online and public education programs.
