York Heritage Weekend

Just a hop skip and a jump to explore all that Historic York has to offer and learn about our History & Heritage first hand! Parade of Penny Farthings, Story of Simpson's Donkey, kid's games & painting, Scones, jam & Cream, Clock tales, tour the Town Hall, Music, Music, and much more!

Leave the City crowds behind and commemorate Anzac Day in traditional Country Style, explore York then enjoy a family concert in the Old Stable Yard featuring music and poetry relating to the eras of the conflicts Australian service men and women have been involved in.
Then two full days of two days of Heritage themed activities to be involved in including a Historical parade of Bicycles along the Terrace, exhibits in the iconic York Town Hall, Bunbury Men of Song at Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Saturday afternoon. Dance to the Mucky Duck Bush band on Saturday evening at Faversham House (ticketed event) Kick off your Sunday with Breakfast, Barbecue and Blues concert at the Stable Yard (ticketed event) and then explore historic York including a tour of the original Mongers building, take a guided tour the Town Hall. Let the kids design (and eat)! their own Pizzas at the Imperial Homestead, learn some Indigenous Art and play old style games in Peace park. Lots to see, loads to do

The main part of the weekend is free but there are ticketed events that have a cost and also some by donation. Would be useful to have some cash with you for donations and small purchases etc. Parking is easy and there are plenty of food and drink venues. Accommodation for those wanting to make a weekend of it is available and overnight RV is available close to the town centre.
