Write your Family History Workshop with Keith Whelan

Find out how to write a family history that people want to read! Join sought after presenter Keith Whelan for this informative and fun workshop. Also includes a display from Jo O'Brien from Camden Area Family History Society. A must for any writer, researcher and / or historian!

In this fun and informative workshop, you will learn how to master writing your family history. Most genealogy books and sites show how to research your family. TV programs like ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ glamorise family history sleuthing. But crafting your findings or your own life story into a format others will want to read is the real challenge. Why are you writing it? Who is your prospective reader? How can you craft the facts for them to access easily? This workshop is relevant for those writing autobiographies, memoirs and family history.

Keith Whelan 10am-12noon.

Includes light afternoon tea and a display by Jo O’Brien from Camden Area Family History Society, with an opportunity to find out more about researching your family history from 12.15 – 1pm.
