Open Garden Fridays at Eryldene

Discover one of the hidden gems of Sydney’s North Shore. Eryldene is the former home of Professor EG Waterhouse and his family. The house was built and its garden created early last century and there you will find one of Australia’s most important collections of camellias.

Tickets include a tour with one of our informative guides and hear how the garden was created. Enjoy a home-made morning tea/coffee in the loggia. Absorb gardening tips from our volunteer gardeners and hear how we are adapting to a changing climate. You can also explore the gardens independently by paying admission at the gate on the day (does not include the tour or morning tea).

In 2025 our Open Garden Fridays run the second Friday of every month between April and October, 10am-12.30pm. Garden tours are generally held at 10.15am, so please arrive on time.

Group bookings (more than 6 people) – please download the booking form found under ‘Garden tours’.
