Film Screening – Breathing Life into Boodja and Q&A from Gondwanalink

Join members from Gondwanalink and locals from the Bridgetown area as they share insights for this special free screening of Breathing Life into Boodja, for the Southern Forests and Valleys Heritage Festival.

Breathing Life into Boodja, an inspiring documentary on large-scale environmental restoration in south-western Australia. The film showcases the collaboration between community groups, Aboriginal rangers, conservation landholders, farmers, and scientists working to heal the Porongurup and Stirling Ranges.

Once heavily cleared for agriculture, this biodiverse region is now being restored, with wildlife returning and ecosystems recovering. The film also highlights Aboriginal communities reclaiming their role as land managers, linking cultural healing with environmental restoration.

These efforts are part of Gondwana Link, a 1,000-kilometre wildlife corridor from Margaret River to the Great Western Woodlands, recognized as a ‘Founding 50’ project for the UN Decade of Ecosystem Restoration.

Following the screening, Keith Bradby and other Gondwana Link representatives will lead a presentation and Q&A on the project’s impact and future.
