Celebrating 100 years of education
On the 29th April 1925 the Young Intermediate High School moved into the former Court House building. To celebrate 100 years of education at this site the Young Historical Museum will highlight a new exhibition about schools in Young and the surrounding district.
On display are class photographs from the 1920s to the present, previous school uniforms and magazines featuring activities of students such as sporting achievements, as well as examples of student’s work over the years. The Young High School and Young Historical Museum are also seeking visitors’ help to identify former students and teachers in a selection of historical photographs. The day will include a barbeque run by the Lions Club, a DJ playing Australian folk music and much more.
