Come and visit the Canberra Fire Museum in the historic 1939 Forrest Fire Station. See equipment, uniforms, and vehicles from more than 100 years of extraordinary firefighting history in the ACT. Take a guided tour with our volunteer guides who are all retired firefighters with fascinating stories to share. Wander through the exhibitions to learn more about how the fire brigade developed as Canberra grew and how the courage, skill, and professionalism of ACT firefighers have kept us safe for a century. Kids can discover more in our self-guided treasure hunt and get behind the wheel of our fire truck made for Canberra’s future firefighters.
