Dairy and Bakery
New areas now open for viewing
The Laundry and Bakery as well as the Dairy have been opened for public viewing. Located at the end of the service wing, they occupy the last two rooms and have information panels and some atmospheric sound effects that will seize the imagination.
Just around the corner from the service wing is the fowl house where one of the rooms has been reconstructed to show how chickens were housed. some information panels show the breeds of chicken that were common in the 19th century and there are sound effects too.
We are also pleased to be able to show the Shearing Shed which has a superbly atmospheric display of artifacts and has been arranged as if the boys are having a brief “smoko”.
The magnificent Stone Barn is open for inspection and is available for hire as a venue for Wedding Receptions.
