As a Not-For-Profit organisation with a charitable purpose we rely on your support to safeguard Tasmania’s cultural heritage.

The National Trust of Australia (Tasmania) owns or manages twelve historic properties across Tasmania and is a major contributor to education for your Tasmanians and Tasmania’s tourism economy. In addition, the Trust runs Conservation Appeals for more than twenty properties in community ownership.

The conservation of the Trust’s built assets is expensive and not fully funded by tours, fundraising events and commercial venue hire. National Trust of Australia (Tasmania) continues to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. The Trust continues to rebuild its volunteer teams to return to past opening hours.

The National Trust of Australia (Tasmania) is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profits Commission (ACNC). It has Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status. Cash donations over $2 may be claimed as a tax deduction.

Donations of property may also be assessed as tax deductible. The National Trust may also receive donations of collection items under the Australian Government’s Cultural Gifts Program. Please contact the Trust at admin@nationaltrusttas.org,au to discuss donations of these types.
