Seaweed patterns such as the one shown on this Chamberlains Worcester dinner service (c. 1830) were once very popular and graced Tasmanian homes from the 1820s.

One of the most striking and unusual pieces in the house is an old display table, superbly painted with images of native Tasmanian animals by renowned Tasmanian artist Michael McWilliams who won the inaugural Glover Prize in 2004.

Concave Welsh bacon cupboard (c 1700)
Sides of bacon were hung from metal hooks to cure. The cupboard has an iron lock within an oak casing at the rear and has two small doors beneath the seat. The cupboard is a gift from Mr John Dunn, Melbourne.

The date of this silk scarf is unknown, but is thought to be from the 1940's. The scarf has been embroidered with semaphore flags and the alphabet around the border and the words “Long May He Wave”.
