June 2024 – Queenstown and Penghana

West Coast, Queenstown and Penghana update

Queenstown is buzzing this Winter as the ABC Series, Bay of Fires, has returned to film Season 2.  Once again, the production company have booked Penghana’s accommodation for its exclusive use from May through to August.

The new tourist season commencing October 2024 has Penghana fully booked on numerous occasions including for an adventure group, classic car enthusiast group, as well as mainland and overseas visitors.

Penghana has again been recognised in TripAdvisor’s top 1% of B&B’s worldwide and rated No. 7 in Australia.

The historic photographic display in Penghana’s ballroom commemorates 125 years of Mt Lyell Mine Manager residents. It has gained momentum attracting special interest groups keen for a personalised showing.

Queenstown’s West Coast Wilderness Railway, a National award winning experience, is currently operating on a reduced Winter schedule. A new timetable will shortly be announced for the upcoming tourist season.
