Sharing stories-People and places of Garryowen (Queanbeyan)
Garryowen is the historic central area of Queanbeyan which featured brickmakers, nursing hospitals, farms, the town park and cordial factories. Over time the nine farmlets were subdivided and became a residential area. The walking tour will cover about two kilometres and take about 90 minutes.

St Gregory’s Catholic Church in Molonglo Street Queanbeyan has been continuously in use since it was opened in 1850.
Hear all about this little church, designed by Augustus Pugin. It is an example of Gothic Revival with its pointed arch windows, steep roof and stained glass.
