Dame Enid Lyons attended both the Coronation of King George VI (when she was awarded her GBE), and the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. It is fitting that Home Hill should continue the tradition of celebrating coronations, and so planning is underway to hold an English-style street party at Home Hill, with long tables of food, an abundance of bunting, Union Jacks and hats, a brass band and, of course, a large screen for viewing the coronation – more details to come!
