Pirate Day aboard Polly Woodside

Gather your scallywags and buccaneers and set sail for an adventure on the high seas aboard the tall ship, Polly Woodside! On the third Sunday of every month, this historic vessel transforms into a pirate’s haven for an unforgettable Pirate Day.

Step aboard and immerse yourself in the pirate life with a treasure chest of fun activities for the whole family. Kids can scrub the decks, swing the ropes, and ring the ship’s bell as they join the Polly crew to discover what life was like on a tall ship navigating the seven seas.

Highlights include:

  • Treasure Hunts to kick off the day’s adventures.
  • Pirate Tattoos & Names – leave with a new (washable) identity!
  • Craft Activities – create your own pirate treasures.
  • Fashions on the Plank – come dressed in your finest pirate gear for a chance to shine!
  • Deck Scrubbing & Rope Swinging – hands-on fun like a true buccaneer.

Explore the ship and museum, enjoy the history gallery, and take in the beautiful wharf equipped with picnic tables for a perfect day out. Don’t forget the photo opportunities – a pirate’s memory never fades!

So, don your tricorn hats and eye patches, and prepare to shout “Yo Ho Ho!” as you embark on a swashbuckling adventure. Arrr the pirate’s life for you!
