Nature Ed

Experiences for primary, secondary, tertiary and ESL groups. Linked to the Australian Curriculum.

Come and visit our wonderful world of wildlife and immerse your students in the rich nature, culture and history of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Our Nature Ed experiences allow you to tailor your day in your own special way. The Wildlife Discovery Experience is our most popular living lesson and takes place in The Pines Elanora Discovery Den. This exciting new outdoor teaching space is located in a beautiful natural setting where your students will be immersed in nature.

Set on 27 hectares of natural bushland and home to over 1000 animals, this classroom is like no other. Students will have the opportunity to meet amazing animals that may include a python, lizard, phasmid (stick insect), echidna, possum, frog or baby crocodile. This interactive experience focuses on animal adaptations, diet, habitat and conservation, is linked to the Australian Curriculum and tailored to students’ year level.

Students also have the opportunity to discover the interactive zone where they can handle artefacts, explore life under the microscope and touch feathers, bones, skins and more.
