Hartley Valley Possum Dreaming Site

Hartley Valley is a cultural landscape with remarkable natural, built and indigenous heritage value.

The National Trust has previously made a detailed submission against elements of the proposed Great Western Highway upgrade that will impact the important Hartley Valley Landscape Conservation Area that was listed on the National Trust Register over 35 years ago. Local indigenous groups are now also raising significant concerns that several important Aboriginal cultural sites will be under threat.

Possum Dreaming Site Friends recently produced a video which shows the impact of the proposed upgrade on this very special place.

  1. Upgrading the highway is a waste of money for a few minutes less time travelling to Sydney. We cannot destroy all Aboriginal Heritage. Leave the Hartley Valley alone
