It’s the neighbourhood that Robin Boyd and his family settled in the late 50’s, in Robin’s experimental and iconic home.
Many other leading architects contributed to the rich architectural tapestry of South Yarra include Reed & Barnes,Walter Buckhurst, Walter & Richard Butler, Anketell Henderson, Marcus Martin, Harold Desbrowe-Annear, Yuncken Freeman, and Neil Clerehan. A number of prominent landscape designers also helped to shape the area, including William Guilfoyle, Edna Walling and Ellis Stones.
