Unearthing the stories behind the artifacts at St. Paul’s Cathedral
Hear the stories, appreciate the art, see behind the scenes of this historic landmark at the heart of Bendigo.
Take a tour of the hidden parts of the Cathedral with the Dean. View the inside of the organ, the vestry and sacristy, the original Sunday School rooms and workings of the predella! Learn about the history of their use and transformations over the years. 23rd April and 14th May, 2pm.
Hear about the people behind the names on the memorials within the Cathedral. Stories of generosity to others, courage in war, tragedy on a church picnic, and concern for the education of children. 7th May, 2pm.
Enjoy an exploration of the artistic expression of faith in St. Paul’s, in stained glass, intricate carvings, the amazing opus sectile and colourful frontals and vestments. 16th May, 2pm.
Experience the choral heritage of the Anglican tradition with our choir and organ using the Book of Common Prayer (1662). 27th April, 6pm.
