On this walk through the historic and interesting streets of Carlton you will see and hear something of its colourful history from the 1860s to the present day. Among the highlights will be finding remnants of the Carlton of the 1860s before the era of the cast-iron terraces, and of its 19th century institution, and learning something of its more notorious crimes, notable migrants, and more recent public controversies.
