Explore the different styles of Millinery (Hats) and millinery materials used spanning the decades from the Victorian Era to the current day.
Milner and National Trust Volunteer, Sandra Forrester will lead this fascinating talk and demonstration at the iconic Block Arcade, home to the National Trust’s vintage boutique VAULT.
Come and learn how millinery (hat making) materials have changed over the past century, enjoy a demonstration of how a hat is structured and made, and learn the importance of hat shape and how it relates to face shape.
There will also be a display of vintage hats to try on and a chance to get Sandra’s expert tips on how to wear a hat correctly.
