Melbourne Unearthed

Within the grid of Melbourne we discover many layers which may or may not be obvious to the public, let us explore further......

This is a 2.5 hour easy walking tour from the east end of the city to the west end. It includes a short tram ride and refreshments – again a ‘reveal’, an industrial lift system forms part of the restaurant today.

Explore subtle or obvious reminders of 19th century Melbourne, these may include faded signage or perhaps a column or tiny remnant as they reveal its past history. It is a fascinating look at the changing face of the city and what has been salvaged and incorporated in part of the later build.
