In a treat for the eyes and ears, Unearth the exquisite stained-glass windows and vaulted decor of Sacred Heart Chapel, not usually open to the public, while you delight in the soaring sounds of Barwon Heads Chorale as they "Sing Joyfully" in the Heritage-listed 1870s chapel surrounds.
From the Earth comes sand, used by skilled traditional artisans to create the beauties of stained glass to adorn our churches and chapels. Within Sacred Heart College, Geelong lies its Chapel, adorned with frescos and decoration on a grand scale, amongst the finest in Geelong. It would be worth coming to the concert just to experience the beauty of this glorious venue not usually accessible except for special occasions.

This one-off event presents a program of sacred and secular music performed by Barwon Heads Chorale under the leadership of highly qualified and experienced choral director, organist and harpsichordist Dr Terry Norman who will play “The Battle between David and Goliath”, one of the Biblical Sonatas by Johann Kuhnau.
Predominantly sacred music, included are familiar pieces such as Bach’s Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring, Mozart’s Ave Verum, César Franck’s Panis Angelicus and Fauré’s stunningly beautiful Pie Jesu performed by soloist Meredith Norman.
