Healthy Country, Healthy People – An exhibition by Keedan Rigney
Keedan Rigney’s exhibition Healthy Country, Healthy People explores the concept of adopting a more traditional approach in caring for Country. Healthy Country, Healthy People aims to challenge humans to acknowledge ourselves as a harmonious aspect of Country.
A free exhibition at Caroline Springs Gallery. As Keedan himself states ‘Remaining on our current course and treating Country as a never-ending resource is only hurting us all in the long run’.
Keedan Rigney is a proud Ngarrindjeri/Wirangu visual artist based in Naarm on Wurundjeri Country. He is a contemporary and multidisciplinary First Nations artist whose work deeply engages with the connections between Country, family, and health.
Through his vibrant and evocative pieces, Keedan investigates the intrinsic symbiotic relationship between nature and humanity.
