Connect with Old Acton Peninsula: Walk 1 CANCELLED

DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES, THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED
A Heritage Walk through Lower Acton, from 1911 to 1940s the centre of operations for the creation of the Federal Capital.

Lower Acton was the site of the first government offices, bank, police station, plant nursery etc. Also the forgotten site of the first European settlement in ACT in 1824. So many forgotten Canberra ‘firsts’ here! We will bring the area to life with stories and early photos.

Meet in ANU car park 75 (free parking), entrance opposite the entrance to Old Canberra House, Lennox Crossing, Acton.

Note that this is the first of two different Heritage Walks in Acton. Walk 2 is on Sunday 28 April in Upper Acton.

Bookings will open on 14 March.
