“Brilliant Brass” – the Hawthorn City Band

Formed over 135 years ago, the award-winning Hawthorn City Band has a fascinating history which Lindsay Paterson will share; with the exciting addition of a short performance from the Auburn Brass.

Visitors are welcome to come to the Hawthorn Historical Society rooms in Camberwell to hear Lindsay Paterson talk about the Hawthorn City Band from its beginnings as a “volunteers Band of Fife and drum” to National A Grade Champions over several years, and overseas performances by invitation. You may view the most recent exhibition from our collection, join us for afternoon tea, and enjoy some music from the Auburn Brass.
