Our vision for reconciliation is to facilitate the involvement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the custodianship and interpretation of their heritage at National Trust of Australia (Victoria) places, and in heritage programs and projects, to recognise and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and heritage, build a mutual understanding of our shared heritage, and work towards reconciliation.

Commitment to Reconciliation

In 2011 we committed to the process of reconciliation as an essential pathway to realising the Trust’s vision "for the Australian community to understand, value, and enjoy the natural and cultural heritage that creates our national identity."


Reconciliation Action Plan 2013

Our inaugural Reconciliation Action Plan was implemented in 2013.


Reconciliation Action Plan 2014-2016

Working with our Aboriginal Advisory Committee to the Board, we developed our second Reconciliation Action Plan.


Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan 2017-19

In 2017, we launched our third and most ambitious Reconciliation Action Plan.
