Glencoe Woolshed | Government Grant

The NTSA Glencoe Branch has been awarded a Thriving Communities Program grant of $36,000 for an upgrade of the existing toilet block at the Glencoe Leake brothers wool shed.

The South Australian Government had established the new Thriving Regions Fund (TRF) in early 2023 – a $15 million commitment per annum to support regional industries, grow jobs and strengthen regional communities.

The Glencoe branch have commenced the upgrade of a very basic toilet block that had been constructed 40 years ago, as well as creating a new disability toilet provision. The scope of work will include constructing a concrete apron space in the entrance area of the toilets.

The toilets are utilised by visitors to the wool shed as well as passing travellers and locals alike, as it serves as a public toilet facility in the small country town. The local Wattle Range Council have assisted by providing a contribution towards the cost of concrete work on the project.
