Hobart Penitentiary Nomination for National Heritage List

In its recent revision of Tasmanian Heritage Register entries, Heritage Tasmania, acknowledged that the Hobart Penitentiary is of national significance. Encouraged by this, National Trust Tasmania will nominate the site for the Commonwealth Government’s National Heritage list.
