The Giant Miniature Art Exhibition: People’s Choice Winner Announced

‘Venice 1’ by Germana Snidero has been announced as the People’s Choice Winner of The Giant Miniature Art Exhibition 2023.

The artwork of the Venice Harbour received the most votes from visitors among the 800 miniature artworks on show, by more than 200 artists from around the world.

Germana Snidero, from Italy, describes her passion for art as being evident from an early age regularly drawing, writing and reading. A largely self-taught artist, Germana spent her career as a teacher and educator while experimenting with various techniques and attending short courses. Germana furthered her passion a few years ago when she became a watercolour and drawing teacher at a University for Senior Citizens in Udine in north-eastern Italy.

The Giant Miniature Art Exhibition ran from May to July in the Ballroom of Como House and welcomed hundreds of visitors. The exhibition was a fundraising initiative of the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) with all artworks in the exhibition donated by the artists. The artworks not purchased as part of the ‘Top 100 ‘Silent Auction are now available to buy from the National Trust Shop at Como House.

All proceeds support the valuable work undertaken by the NTV.
