As part of Melbourne Design Week in May, the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) and the Heritage Council of Victoria hosted a panel discussion on The Fine Art of Traditional Trades.
The discussion highlighted the importance and value of traditional skills and trades in the preservation and maintenance of heritage buildings, while also exploring their relevance to modern construction. The panel focused on how these essential skills are being passed on to a new generation of tradespeople and design professionals.
This insightful conversation was recently featured on ABC Radio National’s Big Ideas program.
