After a sixteen month long project to revitalise and reimagine Strawberry Hill/Barmup, we are opening the doors for visitors to experience new ways of interpreting this historic place.
The new approach to heritage interpretation recognises the bridging of cultures and the contemporary expression of both 19th century and Aboriginal cultural heritage.
The project has focussed on the construction of a new Visitor Hub that provides a universally accessible experience for visitors and the opportunity to reflect on the cultural landscape in which Strawberry Hill/ Barmup sits. New interpretation in development includes tours of the Main House and Cottage as well as two new self-guided tours of the grounds.
Strawberry Hill/Barmup opens to the public from 31 October 2020. Start your visit at the new Visitor Hub, take a tour of the Main House, stroll and picnic in the garden.
Strawberry Hill/Barmup is open from Saturday, 31 October 2020.
Visitor Hub open: Monday – Friday 10am – 4pm and Saturday and Sunday 1pm – 4pm.
Take a guided tour of the Main House. Admission: Trust Members free, Adults $10, Adult Concession $7
