The National Trust of Western Australia is excited to announce that a Pop Up café will be opening at Peninsula Farm soon.
Peninsula Farm Café will offer a gourmet delicatessen, plus fine coffee, hot drinks and fresh juices.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the new operators to the Peninsula Farm Café as, I’m sure, are regular users of the cycle and walk trails, visitors to Peninsula Farm, and people looking for a beautiful spot to enjoy some light refreshments,” said National Trust CEO Julian Donaldson.
Preparation will soon begin, so visitors to Peninsula Farm may notice activity at the café building.
As a proudly West Australian organisation, the new café operators source all produce from West Australian farmers and vendors. Their sustainability focus also ensures all packaging is biodegradable.
The Pop Up café is a short-term offer to meet the coffee needs of locals and visitors until the proposal to establish a restaurant at Peninsula Farm is resolved. The proposed restaurant will be subject to a Development Application, which is yet to be submitted.
“We encourage community members to read the Development Application when it becomes available and take part in the community consultation if they wish to comment. This process will be managed by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions,” said Mr Donaldson.
After the consultation period the Department will make a recommendation, which ultimately goes to the Minister for Environment for approval. The entire application process will take at least six months.
