Do you want to play an important role in preserving our heritage and awareness of its importance? The National Trust (ACT) is seeking to fill a part time position of Heritage Officer. We are a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to heritage – its conservation, its celebration, and related education – administered by a Council and supported by members and volunteers. Funding through a Special Grant from the ACT Government has allowed the creation of the Heritage Officer position. The successful applicant will research and prepare submissions to develop, promote, advocate and implement the Trust’s policies on (primarily cultural) heritage conservation, education and celebration. They will provide technical and administrative support for the Trust’s Committees, prepare grant applications, and engage with and value the Trust’s membership and volunteers.
